Factory WINDOW TINT Percentage Toyota

Toyota Factory Window Tint Percentage. Most likely 20% or very close. I tint for a living and almost always to match front to back its 20%. Except for recently i did a newer rav4 and 35% matched closer on that because the factory tint was lighter then usual. Mine has 18% to match the rear windows. Usually referred to as 20%. Tint meter read 21% on my HL rear windows. 2020 Rav4 TRD Off Road came with 20% on the rear windows. I tint matched the front driver and passenger windows.

I can't locate any definitive claims for the factory smoked window light transmission %-age. There are, however, multiple guesstimates that adding 18 - 20% tint to the front side windows brings 'em to a close match to the rear quarter windows in multiple Toyota truck / / SUV models. Sounds like the difference (front / rear) on your Taco is only about half that alleged 'spread'. If you are referring to the non tinted factory glass then i think its around 75%. the tinted factory glass on the rear window and rear side windows is around 32%.

He said the factory only tinted the rear and two back windows with 20% tint. He then tinted the two font windows also 20% tint to match those 3 windows already tinted from the factory. Since you're in Texas and you should have some nice sun action going on right now, get a large BLACK trashbag, thuroughly spray the insided of the rear window down with water, tape the bag over the inside of the window and let it sit in the sun for an hour or two. The tint and glue should come off pretty easily depending on how old and the type of tint it is.

What percent is factory tint? Factory tint varies slightly, but on average, they are between 15% and 20%. The percentage of factory tint will vary depending on the make and model of the car, hence the discrepancy. 99% of cars that have any factory privacy window tint are at 20% for the rears. The Tundra rear windows measure in at EXACTLY 20%. This is using two separate Massachusetts state inspection window tint meters, and also checked via a local PD window tint meter. The fronts have a slight tint and are right around 75% factory.

When I got my fronts done, they matched to Toyota factory, which was something like 22%. Most shops have a list of what is factory so they can match. I have always had my fronts at 20%, even though the law is 35%, and have never had a problem. Seems to me there are always bigger things to worry about for the cops around here. And in Indiana, we don't have inspections (unless you live in the region) so I don't have to worry about that part.

Window Tint Percentages all the way around: Front Window: 50%; Front Side Windows: 35%; Rear Windows: 3% over factory 20%; What’s it like with 50% Window Tint on the Windshield? This is my girls 4Runner (2016 SR5 4Runner), not my 2014 Trail 4Runner. On the 2014 Trail 4Runner, we currently have a layer of polycrystalline on the front windshield which blocks heat resistance up to 80%. It blocks the heat a little better than darker film but it does not block the actual sun in your eyes as much as the darker window tint film.

Then, once you know what VLT percentage your original windows are, you multiply the VLT of the film you applied or are going to apply to the window. So, for example: if your Factory VLT is 60% and Film VLT is 7%, the equation to calculate your final overall tint percentage would be: 7×60/100 = 4.2%. That means that your combined factory and aftermarket tint percentage will be 4.2%.

When you buy your car at the dealership and put parts on you know you are getting a two Toyota product. But since the manufacturer does not make a window tinting product endorsed by the manufacturer every dealership uses a different tint. When vehicles come with a factory tint, it’s usually between 15% and 20%. A 5% is the darkest tint you can get, and you can’t see through 5% tinted car windows at all. In most states, a 5% tint is illegal. It’s most commonly used on the back windows of private cars and limousines.

Tint World ® has been the #1 car window tinting installation center for over 30 years, but even with our experience in automotive window tinting, our Tint World ® locations often get asked about the difference between factory tinted windows versus aftermarket window tinting for cars, truck and SUVs.. Most, if not all, new models, especially SUV’s and Mini-Vans, come equipped with a dark, 15% visible light transmission “factory tint” on vehicle windows, other than the front driver and passenger windows and of course, the windshield.

Factory tint is 23%. That's why 20% tint exists. It's the closest they can get to matching factory tint. I'm a huge fan of 3% limo tint all around with a 3.5 inch 0% tint strip on my windshield with another 20% front windows over 3% while rear is solely 3% tint only.
